“Scooore-boooard”
Usually that’s the chant you hear when a player is getting a little too happy with him or herself despite a less than happy score in the game. But today we’d like to point you to one of our newest features, the scoreboard panel off the front page directly under the Google search tool (right side of the screen).
It’s a smaller version of the full men’s scoreboard and women’s scoreboard, both of which allow you to follow the plethora of conference tournament action this weekend. It includes all games with any sort of live updating, whether live audio, video, stats or in-game updates posted by SIDs.
There are several teams and conferences providing video broadcasts that are marked “V.” Since the video broadcasts require a lot of bandwidth, we’ve also provided links to audio broadcasts where we know (or suspect) they will be provided. Besides, you never know when one stream won’t work. Redundancy is your friend with new technology. Redundancy is your friend with new technology.
We’ll have crews at the NESCAC Men’s Semifinals (Pat Coleman), NEWMAC Men’s and Women’s Semifinals (Mark Simon), CAC Men’s Finals (Dave McHugh and myself) and NEAC Men’s finals (maybe Dave McHugh and myself). Plus one of the newest members of our team, Matthew Florjancic, will be calling the OAC Men’s Finals on www.wbwc.com.
If you’re at any of those games, please swing by and say hello. And if you’re not, please follow the front page and the “scooore-boooard” for all the news tomorrow as it happens.

Thanks G-mann keep up the great work
Gordon Mann used to work in the Redundancy Department of Redundancy.
Va Wes eliminated from ODAC, which will pop someone else’s bubble.
Live from St Thomas we’re :30 away from the anthem and the announcement of the starting lineups.
This is my second game of the MIAC double-header. I arrived here about 35 minutes from St. Benedict.
“And the home of the TOMMIES” 1300+ UST fans just chanted at the end of the banner.
It’s a nasty day in St. Paul today. We started with freezing rain last night, got some snow this morning, had many close calls on I-94 going to St. Ben’s and a slow, and thankfully uneventful, drive down to St. Thomas.
I will be posting throughout the first half keeping you up to date on the goings on around the arena and the game itself.
To the victor go the spoils (and a Pool A slot).
:14 off the clock and St John’s drew the first foul. St Thomas takes an early 1-0 lead.
2-0. I’m going to watch the game and I’ll report back in as time permits (and when my ears stop ringing).
Wow, Isaac Rosefelt just had a block (ok not just, my laptop crashed) that could have gone either way that was called a basket. It’s definitely not my preferred arena to work in but we’re getting there.
12-4 UST 15:54 1st
11:25, 22-10 UST.
St Thomas is just dominating St. Johns in the paint, as Dan grant just put up a shot all alone in under the basket off a rebound.
10:51, 24-10 UST.
The sports editor of the student paper on campus told me a few minutes ago that this crowd is far more intense than last weekend’s matchup. From what I heard about last weekend this seems mild but I was on the other side of town shooting another MIAC production.
10:04, 25-12 UST; Lonnie Robinson just missed his first freethrow after being fouled on a layup. And he made the second.
St. John’s defense appears to have returned and their offense is starting to drop shots. They are currently on a 6-0 run and are playing a very strong man defense.
Now that I said that Jason Fogt’s elbow found its way into Al McCoy’s face.
7:38, 25-18 UST
Wow, Isaac Rosefelt took the rebound off a Dan Grant free throw and was tossed about five feet by Fogt for a jump ball. This game is nearly as intense on the court as the one I just came from.
4:14, 32-20 UST.
You don’t see this very often anymore!
The sideline ref called a ball out in favor of St. John’s that was quite possibly the worst single call I had seen in a while and was overturned after some persuasion.
Ok, maybe it does happen on a semi-regular basis but I shoot these games, I don’t watch them!
Keating convincingly dropped a three and Rosefelt sank a 10-footer to bring the Tommies up by 17;
2:02, 39-22 UST.
Going into halftime, St Thomas has a 43-25 lead.
I’ll be returning to the court to shoot the second half so I guess this is an end to the score and game updates. I’ll return after the game.
