  1. You mention that Calvin is getting dumped on in the caption. Even as a Hope fan, I agree. Follow up question… If Calvin loses their final game to Olivet (big if), could Calvin fall out of the regional rankings entirely? If they do lose, they will finish with the same in conference record as Hope and the MIAA finals site (assuming they both win their semi-final games) would be determined by tie-breakers. First tie breaker – split head to head, second tie breaker – both lost to Olivet, third tie breaker – regional rankings. If Calvin drops out with a loss – it would go to a coin flip. A lot of ifs, but I am just curious if there is even a chance that Hope would host that game or if a 16-2,20-4 Calvin, would still be good enough to stay ranked regionally. Thoughts?

  2. I suppose it’s definitely possible they could fall out of the regional rankings. Problem is, if the MIAA is using that as a tiebreaker, will it be willing to wait until Wednesday afternoon to find out what that ranking is?

Of course, it also depends on what else happens. Thomas More plays St. Vincent this week, so one of them will lose.
