If you are a regular listener to the Around the Nation podcast, you already knew who Western Connecticut running back Octavias McKoy is. This week the rest of college football found out, as he ripped off 455 rushing yards, setting the single-game rushing record for all levels of NCAA football. Hear from him and his coach at the top of the podcast.

We also started to find out a little about the pecking order in the CCIW, the WIAC and the Northwest Conference. Illinois Wesleyan beat Wheaton at home, as it’s done for the past decade and Willamette fell to Pacific Lutheran but it was UW-Whitewater’s road win that might signal a key movement, or return in Division III this season. Keith McMillan and Pat Coleman take a look at in this week’s Around the Nation podcast.

The ODAC did its usual ODAC thing, with Guilford taking sole possession of first and Shenandoah shocking Hampden-Sydney on the road, while there was a shocker in the MAC as well, and some surprising results masquerading as the usual suspects in the NJAC and the IIAC. Plus, a lot of teams are talked about, and you can see them listed in the tags at the bottom.
