Pat and Keith spend a fair amount of time on the three Top 25 matchups from this past week, including the playoff implications and what we learned from them. Also, what do we make of Wittenberg’s road struggle at Allegheny? Are Mount Union’s five turnovers on Saturday a concern? Plus the big games in upstate New York, next week’s showdowns and more in this week’s Around the Nation Podcast.

Pat & Keith–the iTunes page for the podcast only shows one episode for this season, dated August 18, 2010. I think the last two podcasts haven’t made it to iTunes.

Yes, there are still some questions about the young Mount Union team headed into the big game this weekend with ONU, but there was one result in Wisconsin this last Saturday that was somewhat encouraging to Purple Raider fans. Oshkosh pretty much dominated River falls in a 43 – 15 win. River falls gave Ohio Northern all they could handle at home before ONU pulled away late in the game. Mount Union beat Oshkosh handily in Wisconsin – yes, they gave up 28 pts, but they controlled the game start to finish. I know playing the comparative scores game can only tell you so much, but it’s something to do until Saturday gets here.
