Game day: Round of 16

We’re a little more than an hour from kickoff on the three Eastern Time Zone games Saturday, in Alliance, Ohio; Crawfordsville, Ind.; and Cortland, N.Y.

D3football.com will be coming to you live from the home of the Red Dragons with audio at noon, and will cap the day with a broadcast of UW-Whitewater at Willamette at 3 p.m. The defending national champions and the West No. 1 seed have the “airwaves” to themselves in a broadcast that’s not online elsewhere, and doesn’t feature live stats or video (that we know of).

If one of the four Central Time Zone games is what you’re after, we’ll be around to chat and provide updates about those too.

Links to video (from Millsaps and Monmouth), live stats (from Mount Union, Wabash, Mary Hardin-Baylor and North Central) and audio from all eight games are on our scoreboard page.

The floor is open. Have at it.

  1. Error on the fumble recovery. UMHB only drove for 30 yds.

UMHB is driving again. UMHB has 1st and Goal on the 1. Wesley holds and forces a 21 yd Munoz FG. UMHB 10-0. 5:33 1Q.

  2. W&J answers right back on a long pass of there own..swallow to besong on a long bomb to the 1 and jones runs it in from there..

  3. 21-0 MUC, Hobart just cant score on MUC… Their defense has made this game managable- they just cant convert on offense at all…

  4. I hope you fans of teams playing today realize how lucky you are. It really sucks watching scores of games and not have your team a part of it. Good thing UVA/VT game is on TV.

  5. Millsaps has 3 and goal at the 1. Early second quarter. TD Majors. Bowser 1 yd run. PAT is good. Millsaps lead 14-7. 13:25 left.

  6. W&J’s Curt Jones 60 yards in the 1st quarter.

Completion to Savage gets Millsaps inside the 4, Joseph keeps it down to the 1, 2nd and goal. W&J holds on a rush on 2nd. Bowser scores on a toss sweep.

    14-7 Saps.

Somebody tell the Millsaps broadcasters we can hear all their outtakes.

21-0 at MUC. Kmic 22-150-3 TD

  7. At North Central, it’s 14-10 … Franklin is going to hang tough and have a chance to win here. No one’s going to run away from that offense … but NC is darn good.

Fanthorpe 9 of 10 for 111 yards and 2 scores passing.

  8. Hobart even w/MUC on first downs. Offense proved it can move the ball against mighty MUC. ( Now, can the D stop Kmic)

  9. Finally got to get a look at this Monmouth-Wartburg game. I didn’t know what to make of that, pick-wise, knowing the Scots have a sharp offense and Wartburg has a sharp defense. Went with past results of IIAC vs. MWC … but every game is a chance to prove something.

Wartburg had scored, and Monmouth got into a situation where they needed a conversion and got it on a Tanney pass.

Monmouth looks like a cool place to see a game.

Great will be the weekend when all 8 Round of 16 games are on live video.

Tanney with a big completion to Blodgett to get down to the 11 yard line.

  10. Monmouth down to the 1, gets a 1st down and an illegal substitution on Wartburg puts them on 1-inch line … Scots TD.

    20-7 pending PAT

  11. dc, the “tom foolery” is working, and the offense is moving the ball, but we just can’t stop their offense

  12. Love broadcasters using the D3 scoreboard, trying to do my best to keep it updated.

We gotta teach people how to say “Willamette” though 🙂

  13. 78,
They’re most def making us all proud today- The D is doing their job but is getting pretty worn out… Wish we would have converted the two other times we had it in their red zone…

  14. Wartburg big completion over the middle from Yordi … two plays later a big run gets them a 1st-and-goal at the 1 … two plays later Yordi sneak.

20-14 3:26 … Monmouth missed the PAT last time.

  15. Millsaps gets a 67 yd KOR. W&J personal foul after the play makes it 1 & goal on the W&J 9.

W&J has held on the first two plays; 3 & goal on the 5; Joseph runs to the 1. Millsaps goes for the FG. Timeout Majors with 0:15 left in the half. 19-yd FG good.

    0:10 left. Millsaps leads 17-14.

  16. 28-14 Scots after 2-point conversion. Wartburg can’t stop Monmouth’s offense.

    28 seconds before half.

  17. I hope so, I mean we’ve played them as well as anyone has so far? A match up with MUC-Wesley/Mary Hardin Baylor or UWW Will be interesting if one of them happens…
