Keith McMillan and I broadcast the Mount Union/Bethel game Saturday from Alliance, Ohio, and although we had more than 4,000 people listening live at various points throughout the game, you may not have heard our halftime interview.
We spoke to Dick Kaiser, the national chair of the Division III football committee, about the bracket, the new strength of schedule measurements, the final teams taken, etc. It’s a good look into the selection process.

Great interview. Good insight. Have fun Saturday!
By the way, I asked before, how does one get access to the poll RESULTS. I do the polls from time to time and can never find the results anywhere.
You must be using the built-in AOL browser — one of the worst browsers on the planet.
You can use IE or Firefox outside of AOL by logging into AOL, then going back to your start menu and picking Internet Explorer out of your programs list.
We also maintain an archive of past poll results, which includes polls back to July 2006.

Good luck to both teams.
About how much time post-Stagg do we have to wait before we can start discussing MUC’s impending loss in week 1 of ’08?
Saturday just after the game has ended
Thanks to Chair(man) Kaiser. We appreciate your answering the questions that Pat and Keith posed.
The availability for the interview goes a long way in clarifying the process and the decision.
Take home lesson…the OOWP is a big feature in the early assessment of the 2007 bracket in football.
I trust that the committee worked hard to get it right. As stated so often here, the 7th Pool C bid was tough!
Thanks to all who served on that committee, (with its 6 1/2 hour conference call.)
I encourage all parties to listen to the podcast!
once again why does no one have an answer to why mount union will not move up a division It seems that they are not up to the challenge wah wah wah the purple fairies stink
SJF Fan
This must be the NY attitude thing. You just got a double monkey stomping, and you are already claiming “next year will be different.” That’s hysterical. 2009 when you have the game at home…..maybe. 2008 with Micheli, Kmic, Shorts, etc. not so much.
main jack –
Relax and layoff the red meat for a while.
. . . it was said in jest.
SJF there was only one thing I enjoyed about SJF getting stomped by MUC, and that was it proved just how knowledgeable (or lack there of) you are about D3 football. Great posts keep them coming!
dlippiel – actually what it proved is how irrational emotional you and a few others can be as there is no ability to tell the difference between humor and legit debate.
If someone is unwilling to bow down and slurp MUC and its supporters, then clearly they must be related to Satan.
You guys need to relax – MUC is the best and continues to runs the best division one program at D3 and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon.
Thanks
