Game day from everywhere

Welcome to Week 11!

Starting my day off by watching … yes, watching … the Curry/Coast Guard game on the Penn Atlantic video stream. Just saw Curry fake a punt and run for a first down, then bust open a long run which set up the game-tying touchdown. It’s 7-7 late in the first quarter.

You need a strong Net connection to get this video. There’s audio backup on our Scoreboard.

Last night I saw Rowan defeat William Paterson rather handily, and we might be ready to declare the return of the Profs’ offense. The young receivers are beginning to look halfway decent, though I can see why there hasn’t been a lot of confidence in them to date. Their hands weren’t perfect and sometimes their routes weren’t overly sharp.

Cortaca is tied at 7-7 with just under a minute to go in the first quarter. Game day doesn’t get much better than this.

  1. pcole,

what do you think the committee will do concerning travel restrictions now that trinity is likely out….will they make hardin simmons and MHB play each other in the first round to prevent flying teams to and from Texas?

  2. That’ll be part of our projections. We’re pondering those things now and will post them later after the Occidental game.

  3. dlippiel,

I dont feel that the committee will give union a home game… in fact i think that union will be left out completely (especially since there are already 8 quality one loss teams vying for 7 pool c spots). It is unfortunate but I do not think that we will have any two loss pool c teams.
Wheaton, St Johns, StJohns Fisher, UW Lacrosse, Capital, Franklin, Cortland State, and Hardin Simmons all have one loss. I just dont think that Union could pump any of these teams. In fact one of these teams will be left out and will have a legitimate gripe. It is an unfortunate fact of life. If I were to guess, I would say that Franklin will be left out. I dont think anyone can say for sure.

  4. LoL. Right buddy. Woe is me? What’s to woe about? And who’s woeing? We’re in! Again, Millsaps was an underdog and Millsaps came out and did what wasn’t supposed to be done. It seems people have WANTED to pull for Millsaps, but at the same time, been waiting for us to collapse. I’m not sure where you get “woe is me,” or seem like this is an arguement. I gave my opinion–that’s all. Relax killer. Take a deep breath.

  5. C’mon pcole I drove to the Cortaca game dealt with the stress of the game, drove home and I’m exhausted. Don’t make me wait for the Occidental game. Can the Dragons snag one of the pool C bids?

  6. Sorry man — usually we don’t release this before about 4 a.m. This year we’re running significantly ahead of time but it would be premature to release seedings with a playoff contender still on the field.
