ATN Podcast 246: The one with all the unbeatens

We come through the first month of the 2019 NCAA Division III season with a significant number of teams which are unbeaten, but not ranked. We hardly have time to talk about them all, but we’ll do as many of them as possible in this edition of the D3football.com Around the Nation podcast.

ATN Podcast 244: The one with the upsets after dark

It was a strong day of games when we had our noon kickoffs, and it got even better by 7:00. Then when the 10 p.m. games kicked off, and heated up, and ended up in upsets, we knew we had just witnessed one of the great sets of games in … years? Hard to tell.

Meanwhile, Mike Maynard has no interest in seeing his 200th career win celebrated, and tells D3football.com contributor Greg Thomas about it. UW-Whitewater lost its quarterback on the first play of the game. Wheaton held the Illinois Wesleyan offense in check. There was a surprise upset in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

By now you probably have seen the story, and the effect on the Top 25. But in addition to those games, UMHB showed more signs of struggle and promptly lost six of its first-place votes. Is it time for panic for the Cru? Plus, Pat and Keith hand out their game balls, point out the teams likely to rise and fall in the Top 25, and all the rest of the categories.
