  1. One thing I don’t think was mentioned in the Podcast was LaGrange also being a possibility for a Pool B out of the SLIAC.

Right now, the Panthers’ only loss is to a non-D3 opponent, which means they’re undefeated as far as NCAA is concerned. Westminster and, of course, Huntingdon, still pose threats to the rest of the sked, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility that LaGrange would give the playoff selectors a little something extra to think about — even if we never would have imagined thinking about the team being in this spot.

  2. Ooh, ooh, me!

Is it the “I’m Pat Coleman … and I’m Keith McMillan” intro? I actually noticed that when it (didn’t) happen, but it was too awkward to break in and remind you so we just went with it … as we did lots of times in this particular podcast.

I also had that LaGrange thought while we were live, but I couldn’t remember who the loss was against and if it affected the picture. The silly thing is even if the loss was D3, they’d have an opportunity to beat Huntingdon straight up and be the one-loss SLIAC team.

The Pool B problem is going to be how they stack up against the schedules of quality Cs if we remain with only two bids … the SLIAC and UAA teams might get the B bids if Wesley and Salisbury (one of whom is guaranteed to lose again) don’t finish strong, and then Wesley and Salisbury might have the schedules to stack up with a C, so all might be fine, who knows.

Oh, and just for the record, Pat, your beloved Firefox wouldn’t acknowledge me as logged in for posting no matter how many times I signed in (although it would let me site admin), but Apple’s Safari recognized my login on the first try 🙂

  3. Not a mention re: Liberty League, except Union’s suprising loss to WPI? So I’ll “plug” the LL….. Union at Hobart on Saturday always a good game. Hobart loss puts the Dutchmen back into the thick of the LL race. RPI and Hobart are among the 28 remaining unbeaten D-III teams and WPI is 4-1. Hobart has beaten Dickinson and Carnegie Mellon, two teams given “ORV” status earlier this year. Rochester beat Union and gave both St. John Fisher and RPI tough games. If Fisher loses for the 3rd time, are they even an “ORV” team?
