We’re barely underway and I’m about ready to close the book on Wheaton. Here’s the way the first six minutes have gone so far:
Wheaton got the ball first, punted.
Punt went 26 yards.
Then Pete Ittersagen, Wheaton’s top corner, got hurt.
Nate Kmic ran for a 52-yard touchdown.
Wheaton went three-and-out, giving up only its eighth sack of the season.
Wheaton punted for 25 yards. Mount Union ball on the Wheaton 35.
… as I write this Wheaton picks the ball off.
Koroma starts at Tailback for wesley
ooops instead of Jackson. Unkown if injured
Koroma 59 yard scoring run…wesley 7-0 after 1
Pat
Dors the NCAA restrict braodcasts for game? Wesley isn’t doing webcast. O nly radio feed
Pat the Wesley game is on the wEb at WDEL.com
They restrict our ability to link to them.
Also, I should mention, our announcer for that game is sick and bed and I was unable to get anyone to answer the Wesley press box phone so I could inform them. Sorry.
Wesley has had he the ball for 3 just over mins leads 14-0
Pat
LAst year stretch net carrioed all the games but they aren’t carrying this year. Maybe a chioce by Wesley because they have the radio feed..
CMU tries fake punt does not get it gives Wesley ball inside 50
PA: probably — that press box is crowded.
I might be sick at home with the flu, but still following the action…
Davon Edwards 6 yd TD run the only success for Rowan at Wilkes. 7-0 Profs lead at the half. Both teams had numerous opportunities, Rowan with more than Wilkes.
Rowan should have a larger lead and failed to punch it in with 4th and goal from the Wilkes 1.
Per WGLS color guy…”Wilkes is not as big as Rowan, Wilkes is not as fast as Rowan, Wilkes is not as strong as Rowan…i’ll be the first to say it, they look like a MAC team today.”
Ouch. So what does that mean Rowan looks like?
Wheaton has hung in this game despite Chupp throwing two picks in the red zone, the last one in the closing minute of the half. Mount Union leads 14-0.
Justin Beaver back for UW-Whitewater.
Wesley 21 CmU 0
CMU trying to pass a lot more than usual but not working ands Wesley is stpping the run
UW-W scores on first drive 86 yards after LA-X punt.
Beaver carries 5-6 times and then 20 yard TD to Stanley.
7-0
They needed Beaver back–if he IS healthy good day for Warhawks.
Capital 20 North Central 6 HALF
Defense optional so far.
total offense: 283 NCC 282 CAP
NCC: Kniss 25-32-1 208yds
Cap: Pentello 11-18-0 250yds 3 TD
Kniss is intercepted on the final play of the half at the Capital two yard line.
LA-X marches and scores running the final ten against UW-W D
7-7
Mike Orhiel has thrown 3 interceptions and Wilkes might take advantage…after the 3rd pick, Wilkes completes a 53-yard pass and Wilkes will have 1st and 10 from the Rowan 13.
UW-W Tight End tries to stupidly stretch ball forward and fumbles inside 15
7-7
UW-W Defense shows up three and out
UW-W first and ten on LA-X 38.
Warwick goes over 10,000 yrds passing Wesley is just to fast for CMU.
28-0 wesley
Pa_Wesleyfan,
I am listening to the game on web cast, it sounds like Wesley is rolling! Clark just scored to make it 28 nil. I hope Purple Crush is still around for next weekend!
Wilkes scores and ties game.
Now the defense is fired up and have Rowan in a 3rd and Glassboro situation. Momentum leaning toward the Colonels.
Jacobs 30 yard TD pass after Beaver run overcomes third and 12 following holding penalty.
14-7 Warhawks lead
Kevin Keller misses a 25-yard field goal chance for Wilkes after a prolonged drive. Rowan will take over with 1:40 remaining in 3rd and game tied at seven.
Kevin Mulkern in at quarterback for CMU and has the Tartans moving inside Wesley territory for the first time. CMU hadn’t gotten inside of the 25 prior to this.
Now the CMU drive stalls and 4th and goal to come for CMU at Wesley…Mulkern is intercepted and Wesley takes over.
Tartans seem to be cooked today.
CMU changes QBs sack and interception.

I will be in Dover next week if Wesley wins. Had to stay around home this week.. Honeydos lol
Wesley needs to eat some clock ,D has been on the field all day..
I am stuck in Annapolis with a similar list! I plan to be there next week as well. Any issue with Wesley showing to much offense wise with this game as good as over?
Just to whoever is updating the score…It is only 27-14 SJF not 28-14…could be huge later on!
Chances are I will be at Wesley as well…sans flu.
Wilkes takes lead on Andreopolous 2nd TD of the game.
My bad on the score, thanks for the heads-up.
UW-W D bends but doesn’t break after allowing receivers (TE and RB) to run open all over the field.
After punt UW-W takes over on own 14.
UW-W drives into Red Zone with 6:00 left until halftime and bogs down.
Field Goal with 4:14 left.
Warhawks up 17-7.

I am disinfecting my pc right now….

Wesley really hasn’t varied from it’s offense much all year except that they have different 5 rbs who all have their own niche.
WJ intercepts a pitchout for a TD???
Sounds like WJ is playing tough in Texas…
Rowan driving from the Wilkes 14 yard line…
PA,
That’s true, well said.
LA-X drives down the field with empty backfield and UW-W defense unable to pressure the quarterback but linebacker gets a big Interception with LA-X in field goal range (24 yard line).
UW-W goes into halftime leading by 10.
Rowan 1 yd TD run from Mike Orhiel. Bad snap on the PAT. Wilkes maintains a 14-13 lead inside of 3 minutes.
Wilkes fumble. Rowan recovers. Driving down 1 point at Wilkes 12
North Central finally into the end zone in the fourth quarter. Just about 11 minutes left.
Capital 27 North Central 13

Kam Kniss 30-42-1 247yds 1TD
Rocky Pentello 22-37-2 359yds 4 TD
Perry Welch 7-82yds
Dylan Kelly 9-184yds
Derrick Alexander 9-145yds
Wesley has put up over 500 total yrds 37-0 in the 4th
Well…the Wilkes fumble turned the tide.
Orhiel pushed it in from one yard out for the 2nd consecutive drive and the Profs pulled it out, 21-14. Per WGLS…”I don’t know how they did it.”
Wilkes dominated most of the 2nd half, Rowan all of the first half…it is what it is. Profs move on.
On opening drive (3rd and long) UW-W throws deep to Stanley to four yardline BUT has to settle for field goal which is blocked.
LA-X ball on 20.
UW-W offensive woes
fumble on 15 going in
settle for two 24 yard field goals (one blocked).
Still UW-W 17 UW-LAX 7
Just want to say what an amazing season for Chris Sharpe. He had a tough day today…props to the SJF D…There is always next season for him and the Pride.
Great Game though…exciting down to the last couple minutes
UW-LAX shreds Warhawk defense on THEIR first possession of second half.
UW-W unable to stop the run OR rush the passer.
28 yard TD makes it 17-14.
