Well, it’s a fairly warm and really windy day here in Belton, Texas. Mount Union is already out to a 10-0 lead in Alliance.
Last night I was here for the UMHB pep rally, and I was amused to hear the … let’s call him the MC of the event, though he came off more like a preacher in tone and really fired people up. But I was intrigued by the claim of lack of respect by D3football.com. Guess they didn’t see our Triple Take this week.
Throwing the floor open. I’m dialing up here so I’m not going to be commenting much.
Kmic starting to get some steam….but Micheli’s arms and legs the story so far in Alliance…..17-0 in the 2nd. Wheaton offense had some chances – fumble, also dropped first down pass last series….
there it is….Kmic 49 yards to the end zone….24-0.
Micheli leading the blocking down field on a 49 yd Kmic TD run. It’s getting out of hand, 24-0.
NCAA graphic says “Weaton,” lol.
Wheaton on the board….great throw by Norris….waiting for extra point….ok, 24-7…
Micheli with a nasty move on the option. MUC into Wheaton territory again.
TD Mount Union. Ouch.
Mount has Wheaton D guessing….31-7 after TD pass.
UWW forces a safety on first play from scrimmage. 2-0 whitewater 17 seconds in.
I’m not able to get the cbssports.com video going – get to the page with the “WATCH” links, nothing happens when I try either game, tried FF and IE both. Any ideas, anyone?
I’m having the same problem, Rob. Anyone else?
Sorry, Ron. My bad.
Did you download silverlight?
Mount D allowing Norris to get too comfortable back in the pocket…throwing for good chunks. Wheaton driving… :26 left in 1st half….
yeah, I went through the whole Silverlight thing. I’m getting the game page where you have the “watch!” buttons, but when I click ’em nothing happens. At least I’ve got Pat on the audio, that helps.
schebler 25 yd field goal, 5-0 whitewater
I just frooze up too, probably a lot of traffic keep trying.
Yep, I too have silverlight installed and verified that it’s the latest and greatest. Yet another MS technology that doesn’t work well, apparently.
UMHB better wake up, they have been none too impressive so far.
Once again, MUC is proving that there is D-III and then there’s MU.
You may need to reboot after installing Silverlight. Give it a shot.
nice fg at the end of the half 31-10.
That was 45 yards I think. Heck of a kick!
Forget the video, I’ll just listen to it. I know that works and I don’t want to take the time to muck about with the NCAA site.
Does the NCAA just hate Macs or something?
This game could be a lot closer. Wheaton O with plenty of chances through the air. Mount playing well, not saying that…but opportunities have been there.
Hey Cortland you must feel proud at this point
It was a great year for us. Today’s game between MUC and Wheaton has nothing to do with us. I’m not a big believer in comparing scores.
Cmon Whitewater, lets take it too em… We don’t play well in the 3rd Qtr so I want to see atleast a 10-14 pt lead at the half.
UMHB finally starting to get some headway offensively. Very impressed with UWW offense so far.
if people are complaining about a lack of respect from you, rightful or not, it means they crave your respect. At least that’s how I choose to look at it.
Ron, I’ve had trouble getting the video in multiple browsers. I really think a standard format needs to emerge so fans don’t have to load new stuff & go through this each week. It’s not like it’s your first time watching a game online.
2008 MUC = 2007 NE Patriots
2008 UWW = 2007 NY Giants
I just get a feeling that UWW will shut down MUC again in the finals
Who are you directing the respect post at Keith? I didn’t understand the comment.
UMHB seems to have solved the UWW offense for now. They had better get the offense going however. UWW is pretty scary – if they are this good with this many new players, how great will they be in 2009?
5-0 whitewater and the end of one.
UMHB seems to be getting things back on track after a very poor start, starting to find some small holes to run through and getting some first downs. Near midfield as the second quarter starts and they’ll have a stiff wind at their back.
Ugh… UMHB knocking on the door. Looks like UWW will need to play from behind today.
7-5 crusaders after an impressive drive.
Looks like Kmic wants the all-division rushing record today, starts the second half with a 52 yard effort, 158 yards a few seconds into the third quarter.
Very good matchup so far. Either team will be great to watch against Mount.
I’m predicting a 28-19 “upset” win for UMHB after that last drive. If UMHB makes the Warhawks beat them through the air, we’re in trouble. The QB position for UWW is way down from the past 3-4 years.
Another 3 and out….. UWW offense not looking good
I gave up on the video…real easy just take a moment..right…its more fun listining to Pat ‘s audio
How in the world does MUC get caught off guard on another fake punt. Doesn’t say alot for the special teams. Wheaton knocking on the door down 21.
Looks like some of the Whitewater fans are second guessing themselves with excuses.
It would appear that the video problems are fixed? I just tried to load it up in Firefox and got it on the first try.
The feed seems to be a little jumpy but I am not sure if that’s me or the feed itself. I was told earlier that they are transmitting over a wireless mobile broadband setup so that may have something to do with it.
Mount recovers from fake punt, forces a missed FG, Kmic takes off.
70 more yards for Kmic and a TD on the next drive, now at 233 on the day as MUC extends their lead to 38-10.
UMHB gets a 38 yd fg and now lead 10-5. Noack in at QB the last drive for the Cru.
scotties, what excuses?
38 yd Munoz FG increases UMHB lead to 10-5
Guys…
Just found this site. Went to cbssports.com and found some XXL link and went to it…Downloaded Silverlight without trouble. Can’t find a link to the Whitewater at MH-Baylor game. Do I need to pay a subscription fee before I see anything? Sorry for all of the questions, I’m doing my best here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Rod
Give credit to the UMHB defense. They are stuffing us left and right
Coppage is back! Glad to hear it. Big spot for his first carry, picking up a needed 1st down for UWW.
