If MUC scores, UWW needs a touchdown to close the half. If MUC goes into the half up 28-10, this game is virtually over
Considering he’s the all-time leading rusher in NCAA history, I would think all teams “key” on Kmic. The difference is UWW can stop him and has rather easily. That’s all I meant by pedestrian.
Micheli is doing a good job against the WW secondary and without blitzing, they can’t get enough pressure to force him into bad throws.
That blown roughing the kicker call could really hurt if they score this td, but the UWW defense is looking very good
Horrible Call, Anderson landed under the kicker, by rule that is not a penalty, wow, at this level it’s a shame, if anything it should have been a hold on MUC. Last week UMHB had several bad calls that went against them, now you know how we feel.
Like I said before, MUC skill positions will be the difference. Hopefully no more bad calls, UWW has it’s hands full already.
WarhawkBadger,
Don’t give up, a lot of football to be played yet.
A UWW TD drive before the half will get them back into the game.
I agree
I haven’t given up yet, but that air assault from MUCis lethal
No doubt it was a bad call. It may have only cost them 3 points but it also took away several minutes of clock.
Good field position here…need to go to the locker room down 7. WW gets the ball to start the 2nd half.
1st down, move those chains baby!!!
Tough call on the punt. If anything it should have been a hold on MUC. I can’t say enough about Micheli. The kid is playing a fantastic game! Kimc has been shut down thus far as well. Wondering if he will break out or continue to be surpressed by the WW D-Line.
Donavon looks slow
One call never decides the whole game, the are always ifs and buts.
Agreed…. but instead of 24-10 it could be 21-17 right now. UWW would have had outstanding field possession out of that
now many bad call however..may
Nice 1st down by UWW to keep this drive alive. Putting more points on the board before the half would be a big boost for the Warhawks
I hate the “one call never decides a whole game”. When a game is expected to be this close, a call like that can easily change the outcome. The kids on the field should decide who wins…
Wow, great run by Donovan! Turns a sack into a first down and gets out of bounds to stop the clock
Very cheap shot by MUC DB #6, Daryl Ely to push Donovan when he is almost out-of-bounds. Donovan must leap a bench to stop his momentum.
Donavan is holding the ball longer this week than he did against UMHB and it cost UWW early. Last week when passing Donavan was getting rid of the ball quick.
Cru Crushed: “Donovan looks slow”
Maybe that’s because he doesn’t get 15 yards down the field before an ublocked defender can get a hand on him like Micheli.
Still can’t believe how well the weather is cooperating (he says, knocking on wood, throwing salt over his shoulder, sacrificing a calf, etc.)
No wind, things have dried out, relatively mild temps. It’s kind of a “no excuse” type of atmospher.
I have never seen a line get away w/ such blatant holding as UWWs line. Horrible.
Mount Union has 7 plays of 20+ yards. The Warhawks have none. That is the difference right now
second half. nate kmic show.
Definitely a little more balance on the stat sheets.
308/172 MUC has the edge on offense, but UWW narrowly has more rushing yards
“Kmic Show”…is WW exchanging D lines with Wheaton at half time? I’m pretty sure he’s not even averaging 4 yards per carry.
siahandsam,
One call CAN DECIDE THE GAME THOUGH.
R24aider,
“I have never seen a line get away w/ such blatant holding as UWWs line. Horrible”. Well, that makes up for the bad call on the punt. By the way, MUC is holding as well.
Warhawks are showing they can slow Kmic down…if I were Mount, I’d keep it in Micheli hand, that’s been successful…
…Warhawks are still in this game – if they can take the 2nd half kick off and score and then make a defensive play, this game can be tied up very quickly. Asking a lot, but it is possible.
Kmic 13-37 2.8 ypc long of 7 …if that’s the Kmic show, so be it…
They better worry about Micheli, he’s the one killing them. Who cares if Kimic gets held to under 100 if MUC wins. However, Kimic will get his 100+, watch. I just hope WW can get it going and win.
Big Big possession for UWW. Need to set the tone for the 2nd half. Anything less than a TD won’t do it.
Whitewater really has been doing a great job establishing its run game.
Personal foul 15 yds against MUC’s CB #6 Daryl Ely.
Wow, Schebler misses again!!
another wasted opportunity
UWW can’t settle for FG attempts. They either punch it in, or we lose. Its as simple as that.
MUC should just empty the backfield and let Micheli do his thing.
I’d say the play calling by the Warhawks has been pretty mediocre today. Why we completely go away from the run when we get inside the 25 yard line is beyond me.
Big momentum switch with a fumble at the goal line!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! huge play for UWW! Turnover. Lets go UWW, get in the end zone for once
Now lets POUND the ball. Enough of this passing crap. We have the best 1-2 RB combo in D3. Lets use it and wear down the MUC defense
this game has gotten strange…
Neutral observer that I am, I agree that this is one of the most “interesting” drives I’ve seen in a while.
but the drive continues…
Just over 2:00 left to go in the quarter, and still no change in the score. Not what I’d expect after seeing the first few series of the game.
Isn’t that the 4th completion “out-of-bounds’?
Yes, I think it is, Ralph. Same side, same type of pass.
Though it’s now under reivew….
Instant replay looks like a (UWW) “catch”!
