ATN Podcast 8: A rank weekend

When you only have one game between Top 25 teams, that means we should come to expect upsets. As playoff season approaches, each upset becomes more magnified. Keith McMillan and Pat Coleman examine the consequences from Week 8 in this week’s Around the Nation Podcast.

Plus, the week we’ve been waiting for is finally here — five games between Top 25 teams, including the No. 2/No. 3 showdown in Whitewater.

  1. I believe last week, when they beat Witt, we talked about it in the podcast. This week we mainly focused on teams that got upset or nearly upset, or teams playing ranked teams next week. Wabash didn’t really fit into either category this time.

  2. We did talk about Wabash last week, I even inexplicably mispronounced the name … (ever so slightly?)

  3. I think I have to go with Alfred. It makes sense, they are a very dangerous team this season and have showed no signs of slowing down. I have been so impressed by Hobarts O recently. This Storm (QB) seems as if he is improving every game and really becoming a leader. Even as a LL fan it is not easy for me to say but I feel Alfred will prevail 31-17. For Hobart this is a HUGE game! In order to have any chance at an at-large they must beat Alfred. I just don’t see it happening.
