The City of Salem is conducting a sweepstakes to award a free hotel and Stagg Bowl game tickets to one random entrant.
They did the same with basketball and a lucky Calvin fan got his hotel and tickets covered for the Division III final four this past March.

For those of you who read the rules closely, there’s a typo in Rule No. 4.
It says:
4. Contest winner will be selected by random draw made by the City of Salem from all eligible entries received by the posted contest registration deadline. The random selection will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2005. …
Well, Dec. 3 not only isn’t on a Tuesday, but it’s obviously already passed. What they meant was Dec. 13.
Just mentioning this in case anyone gets thrown off by it.
Too bad they don’t also include travel to the game. Free $15 ticket and $85 hotel room doesn’t help when you have to come up with $500 for a plane ticket … but it’s a great deal for anyone in the area or for those fans already planning to make the trip!!
They have already corrected the Dec 3/13 error. 🙂
Exactly — let’s not get crazy, it’s intended to benefit someone who was already planning to head there.
