Before the season kicks off tomorrow night (Game of the Week, Muhlenberg at New Jersey, 7 p.m. EDT), here’s some of what the local papers are talking about in the final hours.
Old School: Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel talks with Wisconsin Lutheran’s 32-year-old kicker.
Whole new season: Living in the past serves no useful purpose for Carthage coach Tim Rucks, Racine (Wis.) Journal Times.
Titans looking to defensive experience: Reeling from death of senior captain Doug Schmied, Illinois Wesleyan doesn’t know what to expect from untested offense, Bloomington Pantagraph.
Miello injects life into WPU: New coach tries to rebuild William Paterson program, NorthJersey.com.
Here’s another …
Oh, Captain, My Captain: Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch talks with the former Senator who’s the Captain’s President
I found a few myself, although folks may have to open their own Google searches to get some of these.

I hope that coding worked. Strangely, that Hardin-Simmons article came from the AP through the San Jose Mercury News’ website.
There are some articles online from about the Millsaps coaching staff, including one from the Chicago Sun-Times. They and Mississippi College are also mentioned in the Jackson Clarion-Ledger’s cancelled by the Hurricane roundup, although it notes that Miss. calls its game with Belhaven the Backyard Brawl, even though that was the name of the Miss.-Millsaps game.

If you Google “Locey,” you’ll find several Linfield articles online, from their local paper in McMinnville, Portland and NCAASports.com.
And the Gloucester County Times got Rowan to admit that Linfield was the better team last year (really?) here:

Just a few links that popped up, can’t endorse all of these as great reads, but that doesn’t mean they might not be.
There’s also a Del Val-Moravian preview in the Allentown (Pa.) Morning Call.

Very nice preview of Rose-Hulman in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star.
Here is another preview of the Moravian, Del Val game tonight from the Easton Express Times:
