At least one rank-and-file member of the D3hoops team is also already in the area ;)

And as a heads-up, an Amherst story (with art!) will be downpage on the local Sports front for Friday.

Alright, well, so the usual blogging crew I have here isn't here today and I'm trying to write a feature story, so it's a little slow on the Daily Dose today. My apologies.

No injuries to report in either of the second two pratices so far.

Stephen Wheeler got hurt for Amherst and was unable to finish practice. He ended up living the Civic Center floor on crutches. He wasn't the only Lord Jeff for whom practice stopped, at least temporarily, but there wasn't anything else major.

Amherst practicing now, after Ursinus practiced earlier. Those who were here didn't see much of Nick Shattuck on the floor. He didn't practice at all last week leading up to the sectionals and it doesn't seem like that has changed at all.

I also caught the Jostens Trophy acceptance speeches and highlight packages for Troy Ruths and Tarra Richardson. As always, the speeches are incredible because of how they embody the best in Division III -- student-athletes who are articulate and true students of the game and of life.
