Game day: Stay off this list

Cortland State. Ithaca. Hobart. Montclair State. Union.

That’s the list of East Region teams that have appeared in the Top 25 poll before this week. None of them remain and only East Region team is ranked at all. That team, Delaware Valley, hosts a dangerous Wilkes team in between the rain drops in Doylestown, PA. The news radio station mentioned a Nor’easter in this area, but we haven’t reached that level yet.  Wilkes is winless in conference but 3-2 and always plays Del Val very tough.  Meanwhile Albright will try to keep its run going against King’s and Widener and Lycoming will match up in Chester.

There’s plenty more to talk about. So have at it. 🙂

  1. Monmouth with an early 7-0 lead on Ripon after a Red Hawks fumble. The announcer says the Scots have never trailed in a game all year…wow.

  2. Monmouth slops their way to a 28-13 lead at halftime. Lots of penalties to help a Ripon offense that has otherwise not been able to move the ball along with 2 lost fumbles.

  3. Halftime stats at Ripon:

    MC 33 plays – 262 total yards, Ripon 38 plays – 116 total yards
    MC 8 penalties – 88 yards, Ripon – 0 penalties.

  4. Monmouth now leads 35-13 at Ripon. They have now been flagged 12 times today after a holding penalty on the XP…unbelievable. Ripon gets flagged on the KO drawing a sarcastic cheer from the Scots faithful.

  5. UWW 7 – UW-Stout 0 first quarter
Donovan to Novak 22 yard TD pass

Warhawk Kicker Jeff Schebler with the XP and ties the D3 Kick scoring record, career.

  6. UMHB 14 MC 14 midway through 4th quarter, Cru just stopped Chocs on a fourth down play at their 40 but have had to punt the ball back to MC. 3:08 to play.

Austin 28 Birmingham-Southern 28 as the ‘Roos have been turning over the ball all day (5 fumbles and a blocked punt). Third quarter about to come to an end.

Trinity 40 Sewanee 0 one play into the fourth quarter.

  7. Ripon DB wrestles the ball away from Scots WR on the ground and the ref gives Ripon the ball on an INT! Still MC leads 35-13 late 4Q.

  8. Some quetionable calls late in the UMHB / Miss Co game. But how do you call interfernce and not count off yardage??? It’s not a spot fuol is it??

  9. Mississippi College intercepts at their own 40 with 1:30 minute to go. Tied 14-14 with Mary Hardin Baylor. MC drives it to to the Cru’s 14 with 7 secs left. Time out called by the Cru.

  10. Miss. College 17 Mary Hardin Baylor 14 with 4 secs left.
And yes, PA Welsey, it’s a spot foul on that interference call.
